Transcript 0:00 Welcome to HQ. As a brigade advisor, the portal opens on the levels you actually belong to. The tile row across the top is your chain, and your brigade tile is home base. Select it and everything below scopes to your brigade. 0:17 Click your brigade tile and its tools unfold right on the page, grouped by staff shop the way a real staff works. The TDA, the personnel actions queue, the strength rollup, the activity calendar, the property book. Each one opens already scoped to your brigade, so you never pick a unit twice. 0:38 One rule drives everything you see in this portal. You get your brigade and every unit under it, and nothing else. Not the brigade next door, not the division above you. Every figure on this rollup is computed from facts your battalions record, then summed up the chain. You read these numbers, you never retype them, and nobody above the battalion can edit them. 1:03 You can add context the numbers cannot explain. A school on break, a joint field exercise, a roster still being reconciled. Notes ride alongside the report for the next reader up the chain. The figures themselves stay untouched. 1:21 The TDA is the adult manning table, drawn as your command tree. Every unit under your brigade shows its command billet, filled or vacant. This is where you man the chain. When a battalion needs a commandant, you are the one who assigns them. 1:39 The holder's card is the control. Click the word vacant, or a holder's name, then type to find the adult you want. Filling the billet is the whole grant. The moment you assign it, that person holds the role and all of its access. Clearing it takes everything back. 1:59 One guardrail. You cannot man your own unit's command billet. Your brigade advisor seat belongs to the division above you, so it renders locked here, vacant or filled. Every command billet is granted from one echelon up, so nobody grants themselves authority. 2:18 Reports are hidden by default so the tree stays readable. Show reports reveals the staff positions under each unit, like an SPO on your own brigade staff. Create a report, give it a title, assign it, and it inherits the permissions of the role you pick. 2:37 Officer promotion packets flow through you. When a cadet passes the board and the written test, the packet lands in this queue for your endorsement. Company grade completes on your signature. Field grade moves on to State for orders. 2:54 The same page carries your PAR queue. Personnel actions from your subtree that call for brigade authority route here on their own. Work them from the Pending tab. Every decision is recorded on the request itself. 3:10 Last thing. When one of your battalions' numbers looks off, resist the urge to fix it here. You cannot, and that is by design. Every rollup on your dashboard is read only. The battalion's own modules are the only write path. Call the commandant, have them correct the source, and your rollup updates on its own.
